Lagoa students awarded for the use of technologies in learning mathematics


The awards ceremony was organized by the Lagoa city council and the Rio Arade School Groups (AERA) and Padre António Martins de Oliveira (ESPAMOL) on December 18, 2020. The initiative resulted from a partnership developed by the university and the University of Algarve in within the scope of the Innovation Plan and Promotion of School Success MILAGE LEARN + MATHEMATICS, 2019/2020.

At the Grouping of Schools Rio Arade, the 1st classified with 6674 points won an iPad tablet of the APPLE brand. The 2nd classified with 4736 points won a SAMSUNG tablet. the 3rd classified with 4388 points won a LENOVO tablet. In the academic year 2019/2020, the awarded students attended the 5th year with the math teacher Ascensão André at the João Cónim Basic School.

At the Padre António Martins de Oliveira School Group, the 1st classified with 3106 points won an iPad tablet from APPLE. The 2nd place winner with 3044 points won a SAMSUNG tablet. The 3rd classified with 3002 points won a LENOVO tablet. The awarded students attended the 8th grade in the academic year 2019/2020 with mathematics teacher Daniel Moreira at Escola Básica Jacinto Correia.

The delivery of these prizes was attended by Ana Martins, councilor for education in the city of Lagoa, Professor Mauro Figueiredo, coordinator of the platform MILAGE LEARN + from the University of Algarve, Luís Varela, director of the Rio Arade School Group and Emília Vicente, director of the Padre António Martins de Oliveira School Group.
