At the beginning of the 1st semester of this academic year, one of the partners from the municipality of Lagoa offered a computer to a student from Lagoa. EPIS – Association of Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion, partner of the chamber in the Network for Training Success Mediators, delivered on December 18, another computer for students accompanied by the project.
Following the applications collected at the schools in Lagoa, the equipment was assigned to a student at Padre António Martins de Oliveira High School. The delivery of the computer equipment was attended by Ana Martins, councilor in charge of Education, by Emília Vicente, director of the Padre António Martins de Oliveira School Group, as well as the EPIS mediator for this cycle.
The executive emphasizes that «the partnership developed between the municipality of Lagoa and EPIS has been making a difference also in the field of digital inclusion of students, especially in this pandemic moment that requires exceptional measures and greater use of communication and information. In the specific case, the student, who is about to finish secondary school, is a reinforcement of the incentive to continue her studies despite the current context of increased difficulties ».
