Lagos is "at home with humor"


Last April, the Lagos city council, in partnership with the Laboratory of Creative Activities (LAC), launched the “Lagos at home with… humor” initiative, as a way to encourage the creativity and originality of local and national artists.

This time, the organization welcomes "the high participation in this contest, which featured artists from various places in the country, in a total of 45 works". With the Covid-19 pandemic situation as a central theme, artists were challenged to represent the values ​​of unity, and the capacity of resilience and courage of the Lacobrigense community.

After a meeting and analysis by the jury, constituted by the councilor for culture of the Lagos city council, Jorge Pereira representing LAC and Mário Belém as a guest artist, the three works were distinguished which, «with creativity and originality, were better able to interpret the proposed theme », Stresses the executive.

All works that met the conditions expressed in the regulation will now be published on the website and on social networks, in addition to the respective participation diploma, to which participants in the initiative will be entitled. First place winners will receive a monetary prize (1st Prize: € 300; 2nd Prize: 200 €; 3rd Prize: 100 €).
