Casa do Sal, in Castro Marim, hosts the presentation of the police book «Letzte Spur Algarve» by the German writer Bettina Haskamp under the pseudonym Carolina Conrad on June 7.
The session will take place at 5:00 p.m. and will be attended by the German writer, who is based in Hamburg but lives in the Algarve region for more than a decade.
The story brings the plot of an animal rights activist to a remote Algarve estate, which is found dead under the hooves of his own horse. The commissioner responsible for the case, João Almeida, does not believe in an accident and asks the newcomer German journalist Anabela Silva to investigate animal rights activists.
Anabela agrees, even because she needs the help of the commissioner to look for the trail of a child who disappeared in a sinister chapter of Portugal's history and, at the same time, begins to feel attracted to Almeida.
Carolina Conrad is the pseudonym of Bettina Haskamp, a native of Oldenburg, Lower Saxony. They are bestsellers such as "Alles wegen Werner" and "Hart, aber Hilde".
