The LST – Lisbon String Trio will perform live tomorrow, Saturday, 29, at 9:30 pm, in the outdoor space of the Associação Re-Criativa República 14, in Olhão.
“In a land of blood dialects, it is in the purity of an impure race that new forms of expression for timeless feelings are generated. It is in this mixed landscape that the music of this trio appears ”, says the Olhanense association about the trio.
Composed by Carlos Barretto (double bass), Bernardo Couto (Portuguese guitar) and José Peixoto (classical guitar), three musicians "references in their instruments and Portuguese music", the LST will show a repertoire consisting of their three albums already published.
Carlos Barretto, a well-known bassist and composer, played throughout Europe, China, Africa and South America, having recorded ten albums as a leader and more than 50 as a "sideman".
Bernardo Couto, the youngest of the three, started learning to play Portuguese guitar at the age of 14 with guitarist Carlos Gonçalves. Initially connected to fado, he is an open musician who also moves in other contexts.
José Peixoto, ex-member of Madredeus and the initial mentor of this project, in addition to an expert guitarist with a very unique style, which mixes classic with Mediterranean influence, is a composer, arranger and producer who has developed intense activity with other singers and musicians.

Remember, the outer space of República 14 was prepared for the challenges of this new phase: a grid painted on the outside divides the yard into squares of 1.5 meters, making it “quite easy” to comply with the distance required by the rules in force.
