Loulé gathers Civil Protection over energy crisis - Jornal diariOnline Southern Region

Following the situation of energy crisis, the Municipal Commission of Civil Protection of Loulé met this Monday, August 12, in the premises of the Municipal Civil Protection Service, in the framework of the order of the Minister of Home Affairs who declared the “Situation of Alert ”between 9 and 21 August.

This Committee was based on the deliberation emanating from the extraordinary meeting of the District Civil Protection Commission, regarding the susceptibility of affecting essential goods and services to the population. Thus, the fuel reserve capacities at the municipal level were debated and analyzed, as well as the recording of the constraints of mobilization of means and resources in the area of ​​safety, protection and relief, the collection of urban solid waste and urban cleaning and the home support in the county. . It should be noted that to date there has been no constraint on these services, despite the substantial increase in population in this summer period.

Thus, it was decided by those present not to activate the Municipal Civil Protection Emergency Plan, as well as to define a set of procedures to be adopted in the municipality during this period, in order to ensure the response to occurrences within the scope of protection and relief and a set of services essential to the well-being of the population.

According to those responsible, this municipal civil protection agency will monitor the situation, in permanent articulation with the Municipal Civil Protection Service and the District Command of Relief Operations of Faro.

It is worth mentioning the existence of REPA filling stations in the municipality of Loulé: Av. De Ceuta, in Quarteira (BP, for priority vehicles and the general public), A22 km 62.5 Guia / Loulé sub-lane, in Boliqueime (GALP, for vehicles) and general public) and Av. João Meireles, in Vilamoura (GALP, intended exclusively for priority vehicles).
