After the delivery of half of the revenues from the Carnival 2018 parade to four private social solidarity institutions of the Municipality, Loulé City Council allocated the remaining 50% of the total amount to ten associations that participated in the Corsican.
Thus, about 32 thousand euros were distributed by the Barreiras Brancas Sports Group, EXISTIR Association, APAGL – Association of Parents and Friends of Loulé Gymnastics, DOINA – Association of Romanian and Moldovan Emigrants of the Algarve, Moto Clube de Loulé, AGAL – Associação Group of Friends of Loulé, GCL – Gymnastics Club of Loulé, TUALLE – Tuna University Afonsina of Loulé, Satori Artistic Association and National Listening Body – Group 290 – Loulé.
It should be noted that these collectivities of the sports, cultural, social and recreational area participated in the carnival parade 2018, in floats and / or as animation groups on the ground, contributing with all their creativity in the elaboration of the facts and the choreography and with the his joy and good disposition during the three days of parade for the success of this centenary event.
For municipal officials, "given that the 2018 edition of this corso met expectations, it is worth highlighting the willingness and commitment of the clubs and associations that participated in it, which enabled a pleasant demonstration of creative abilities to overcome the challenges proposed ".
It is recalled that the participation of the associative movement in the parade of Carnival aims to involve the whole community in this Loulean tradition, giving an identity to the one that is the oldest corso of the country.
