The man suspected of several kidnapping, rape and physical integrity offenses against two women, committed last year in the Algarve, will be held in custody.
According to the Faro Public Prosecutor, the facts date back to April and May 2019.
The 35-year-old defendant allegedly took two women he met in bars to their homes against their wishes. Then you have repeatedly assaulted and threatened the victims, forcing them to have sex with you.
Both victims were deprived of their liberty in the defendant's homes, in one case for five days and in the other for more than one month.
In the latter situation, the victim only regained freedom after the intervention of the PSP.
The man is suspected of committing two aggravated kidnapping crimes, six crimes of rape, two crimes of aggravated threat, two crimes of offense to qualified physical integrity and two crimes of theft.
Presented to judicial interrogation, the defendant was in custody.
The inquiry is directed by the MP of the Faro specialized section of the DIAP, assisted by the Judicial Police.
