Portimonense scored today the third consecutive victory in the 1st League of football, by beating Famalicão, 1-0, thanks to a solitary goal by “matador” Beto, in the first half discounts.
The striker from the Algarve (who came as a result of a defeat by Vitória de Guimarães) had already threatened on 18 minutes, in a “shot” blocked by goalkeeper Luiz Júnior, and ended up scoring his 10th goal in the competition before the break, taking advantage of a series bounces (45 + 4).
In the second part, Famalicão tried to push the Algarvians into their area, but there were few opportunities to harass the guardian Samuel. Paulo Sérgio's team, safe to defend, took the advantage until the final whistle.
Next Thursday, Portimonense, who today lost Willyan to injury, keeps the 9th place in the table, now with 32 points, receives Benfica, in a game scheduled for 19:00 hours.
