Mayambela extreme is the first reinforcement in the winter market – Mayambela, who has already played against Briosa twice in the service of Farense, trained yesterday with the team from Coimbra and increases options for the academic attack

The first reinforcement of Briosa's winter market is presented. The winger, Mihlali Mayambela, 24, arrives in Coimbra ceded by Farense and thus increases the range of options Rui Borges for the academic attack.
Briosa made official the arrival of the South African yesterday in the early afternoon, on its pages on social networks.
“The South African winger arrives in Coimbra on loan from Farense, a club in which he played a leading role in the Algarve's journey last season. Mayambela also represented clubs such as Cape Town All Stars (South Africa), Djugarden (Sweden), Degerfors IF (Sweden), IK Brage (Sweden) and the Israelis of Bnei Yehuda ”, the students also revealed.
Mayambela completed the first half of this season in Israel, at Bnei Yehuda, having participated in seven games and scoring a goal. In season and a half at the service of the “lions of Faro”, the now Académica player, participated in 49 meetings (46 in the 2nd League), having scored six goals in the service of the Algarve (all in the 2nd League, race where also made five assists).
Recruited by Farense in 2018/2019 (arrived in Faro on loan from the Swedes of Djurgarden), Mayambela was in great evidence in his debut season in Portuguese football, having participated in 33 games (32 in the 2nd League) and scored four goals.
The good performance led the Faro team to move towards their hiring, consummated in the summer of 2019 (the contract signed with Farense lasts until 2022 and a termination clause valued at 3.5 million euros).
Last season, which ended with Farense's rise to the 1st League, the winger, who can play to the right or left of the attack, participated in 16 games (12 in the 2nd League), having scored two goals. In January 2020 it was loaned to Bnei Yehuda.

Back to work with new reinforcement
Académica started yesterday morning to prepare the match for the 16th round of the 2nd League, a round in which the students travel to the Benfica B stronghold (Saturday, at 4 pm).
Due to injury, Zé Castro, Silvério (he is already in an advanced phase of recovery, but still works apart from the group), João Simões and Xavi did not participate in the students' morning training.
