The Exhibition “Mediterranean Diet Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity” will be open to the public at the José Saramago Municipal Library in Odemira until October 29th.
The official opening of the exhibition is scheduled on October 16, at 10.30 am, to mark World Food Day and because Odemira is part of the Portuguese Network of Healthy Municipalities. On this day the José Saramago Municipal Library welcomes a class of 4th grade students from Odemira Elementary School to watch an episode of the project “In Odemira the Chef is me!” And to prepare a recipe.
The exhibition "Mediterranean Diet Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity" can be visited until October 29, at the José Saramago Municipal Library, from Tuesday to Friday, between 10h00 and 18h00 and on Saturdays between 13h00 and 18h00 hours
Prepared by Tavira City Council, this traveling exhibition aims to promote and promote the Mediterranean Diet, inscribed by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in its different aspects and for all age groups. The exhibition brings together elements about the history of the Mediterranean Diet, cultural landscapes, health, products, traditions, gastronomy, festivities, among other themes. It integrates videos of the approved application and enables the use of interactive games and a scent panel.
