Hunting, exhibitions, product sales, music, colloquia, gastronomy and demonstrations are some of the proposals of the program of the 10th edition of the Hunting Fair, which will take place in Mértola between 25 and 27 October.
The event aims to “promote the hunting potential of the municipality and show the importance of this activity in enhancing the territory and biodiversity”, stresses the organization, in charge of the Alentejo municipality.
Outside the fair, which will take place in the municipal sports hall, will take place the Santo Huberto Iberian Cup, the largest hunting mount, clay pigeon shooting, the Greyhound dog race, the Fernando Pereira National Jump Championship and the release of partridges, pheasants, pigeons and ducks.
To accompany the snacks of the small bars, the organization prepared a program of musical animation with Augusto Canário and Friends, Rosinha, Iris, S. Domingos Mine Choir, Alentejo Winds, Cracked Cana Troupe and Guadiana de Mértola Choir.
The Hunting Fair program is available on the local authority's website.
