Micro and SMEs receive 100 million euros to adjust to the deflation

The notices for the applications of the ADAPTAR Program, endowed with 100 million euros to reduce the costs of micro and SMEs in adapting to the rules of the deflation, will open today, Friday, 15.

Thus, companies will be supported in the effort to adapt and invest in their establishments, adjusting the methods of work organization and relationships with customers and suppliers to the new conditions in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, ensuring compliance with the rules, safeguarding the safety of workers and the trust of customers.

The program provides for support for the costs of purchasing personal protective equipment for workers and users, hygiene equipment, disinfection contracts, as well as costs for the reorganization of workplaces and changes in the premises' spaces.

For micro-enterprise projects, between 500 and 5,000 euros, there will be support at an 80% non-refundable rate, with expenditure eligible since 18 March 2020, the date of the declaration of the state of emergency.

It is a simplified application regime, based on an expenditure budget for large items, in which confirmation of mandatory administrative requirements is carried out automatically by the application management system or upon declaration by the promoter.

The decision will be taken in ten working days.

SME projects, from 5,000 to 40,000 euros, will have 50% non-refundable financing, within the scope of Portugal 2020 through Compete and Regional Operational Programs. The decision will be taken in twenty working days.

In both cases, after validation of the acceptance term, an automatic advance is processed in the amount equivalent to 50% of the approved incentive.
