Algarve football guaranteed the best news in the final round of the first round of the Portuguese Football Championship, with Moncarapachense qualifying for the access stage to the new Liga 3 and Esp. Lagos guaranteeing maintenance without playing.
The goals of these two teams were achieved with the help of the other Algarve emblems: for Moncarapachense, who drew at home with Amora (0-0), served the late goal of Louletano's draw against Juventude de Évora (1-1) , and for the emblem of the windward, Olhanense's home equality came against Lusitano SAD (1-1).
In Serie H, three teams from the Algarve qualified for the phase of access to League 3: Olhanense (3rd, 35 points), Louletano (4th, 34) – who already knew their destination – and Moncarapachense (5. º, 25), that made the party after the end of the match against Amora.
In the phase of access to League 3, with eight groups of four teams, Amora and Olhanense are in series 8, while Louletano and Moncarapachense will be in series 7. Only the top two in each group have access to the new competition.
The remaining opponents will come from group G, whose last round will only be played tomorrow, Sunday. But it is already known that Oriental Dragon, 3rd in his series, will be an opponent of Louletano and Moncarapachense.
At the bottom of the table, Esp. Lagos ended up celebrating, on the sofa, permanence, due to the tie between Olhanense and Lusitano SAD. The Éborenses fell to the 9th place and joined Aljustrelense and Moura in the relegated list.
Next season, Pinhalnovense, Juv. Évora and Esp. Lagos will compete in the Championship of Portugal, which will become the fourth tier of national football, in the company of teams that do not qualify for League 3 and the emblems promoted by district levels.
