In the men's race, emotion from start to finish. Gabriel Moreira Santos, from Benfica, was the fastest in swimming, completing the 300 meters in 00:03:49 minutes, eight seconds less than his teammate, Francisco Protásio. 6,700 meters of cycling followed and the first change in leadership, with Protásio “getting ahead”, when he finished with 00:11:11, 16 seconds less than the previous leader, that is, now gaining eight seconds of advantage.
Coming from behind, after the 6th time in swimming, and 2nd in cycling, Rodrigo Rodrigues, from Outsystems Olímpico de Oeiras, was the fastest in the 1,700 meters of the race and won, thanks to the 42 seconds until then leader, ending up with 22 seconds advantage for Francisco Protásio, who finished in 2nd place. Five seconds later Gabriel Moreira Santos arrived to finish the podium.
