The closing ceremony of Shortcutz Week, which will feature more than 30 short films, will take place on Friday, 12 at 9:30 p.m., in the auditorium of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ). in Faro.
The project started with the desire to give some youngsters from Faro and Loulé secondary schools an opportunity, but became "an incentive for the creation, training and professional qualification of the participants," says the organization, in charge of Shortcutz Faro.
The movement counted on more than two hundred participants and dozens of musicians and audiovisual producers who patronized them, with the expectation of receiving more than 30 "short films".
The jury that will award the prizes in several technical categories includes names such as Anna Eremin, Justin Amorim, João de Brito, Graça Lobo, Bernardo Lopes, André Canário, Isa Mestre, Ana Narciso and Pedro Ornelas.
In addition to the awarding of prizes, there are small concerts of the bands that sponsored the project, the projection of some of the winning short films and the tribute to two of the most important names of the Algarve culture of the last decades, Vítor Reia-Baptista and José Louro.
The session, scheduled for 9:30 pm, has free admission.
