Rizoma Lab – Cultural and Contemporary Association will present in Lagos and Tavira, in June, a multidisciplinary spectacle «Meeting of Protest», with theater, music, video, design and plastic arts.
"Reflecting on the capital and intrinsic importance of culture and the arts in the history of Man" is the goal of the show, which features Neusa Dias and musical director of Vera Batista.
"This is largely an artistic manifesto – a theatrical work in the form of a debate and a creative exposition of both the problems experienced in art and artists, as well as the dissemination of knowledge about the place of art in individual and collective existence, especially in the times we live in, "added the two associations.
A Contemporaneus – Association for the promotion of contemporary art (aimed at the creation and dissemination of contemporary music, based in Estremoz) and Rizoma Lab – Cultural Association (aimed at the realization of cultural and scientific projects in an intercultural and transdisciplinary perspective, with headquarter in Lagos) seek to "build an innovative, vivid, provocative" protest "that communicates with the public, familiarizing them with the processes, challenges and responsibilities of artistic creation."
The show will be on the stage of the LAC – Creative Activities Laboratory, in Lagos, on June 20, 21 and 22, and in the Clube de Tavira, on the 28th and 29th, always at 9:30 p.m.
