Netflix confirmed a second season of "Narcos: Mexico".
"Narcos: Mexico" will count on a second season on Netflix, advances the Deadline website. The first chapter of the series premiered on November 16 in the streaming service and tracks the start of the drug war in Mexico in the 1980s and tells the true story of the rise of the Guadalajara cartel.
Diego Luna and Michael Peña are the protagonists of the successor of the saga begun in 2015, which was accompanied by Colombian drug trafficker Pablo Escobar.
Diego Luna portrays Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo ("Felix"), leader of the Cartel de Guadalajara, one of the greatest traffickers in Mexican history and the founder of the current Mexican drug trade. "Silent and audacious, indecipherable and shrewd, he is seen by all as a benevolent leader, loyal to friends, associates and employees, but owner of a boundless ambition," he told Netflix.
Michael Peña plays Kiki Camarena, a family man and agent disguised as DEA, who through informants obtains valuable information about Felix and his newly formed Guadalajara Cartel.
