The National Maritime Authority warned today of the precautions to be taken and the importance of adopting security behavior on beaches, before a weekend that promises hot weather.
According to the AMN, at this time of the year, the beaches also have effects of the maritime agitation of the winter, being able to verify foundations, sharp slopes, whirlpools and agueiros.
Some of these phenomena are not visible, putting danger to who enters the water.
In addition, the vast majority of the beaches are not yet under surveillance, making it the most time-consuming rescue.
Thus, the National Maritime Authority recommends that children be permanently supervised and not be allowed to leave, always keeping them close to an adult; avoid risky behaviors such as turning your back on the sea, so as not to be surprised by a wave; in case of danger situation inside water, do not come in and ask for help through 112; and avoid the sun exposure period between 11:00 and 15:00 hours.
