Consolidating the event as a reference in the cultural panorama of the Algarve, the third edition of Jazz in the Wineries will start on October 12 and will last until May 2019. This activity, organized by the Municipality of Silves, once again, the cultural program 365 Algarve and has artistic production of the Clube Clube de Faro. The initiative aims to give a cultural boost to the places where the Silves Wines are produced, in a symbiosis between wine, its producer and music, providing a unique experience to the public, in places unusual for the presentation of a Jazz concert.
After two editions of crowded cellars, the great novelty for the 2018/2019 Jazz in the Wineries cycle is the increase in its offer, which triples, for a total of 24 sessions. But the novelties do not stop here: besides the adhesion of new producers of the Silves Wines, jazz and wine are linked to Silves' new identity values: cork, poetry and monumental heritage.
That is how, from October to May, to wine, as a regional producer of excellence, will be associated with important jazz formations, styles and varied repertoires. The concerts are accompanied by tastings of the wines produced by the host wineries, and also include the tasting of tapas of local products, in a concept of recognized success that marks the quality cultural offer in the low season of tourist demand for the Algarve.
The first session of the Jazz in the Cellars, which will feature The Pocket Band, is scheduled for October 12 and 13, starting respectively at 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., at Quinta do Outeiro, in Silves, brands Paxá Wines and Quinta do Outeiro.
The tickets have an associated cost of 12 euros (includes, in addition to the concert, wine tasting of the producer, tasting of tapas of local products, voucher to visit the Castle and Municipal Museum of Archeology and the offer of a bottle of wine), with tickets for the first concert with The Pocket Band on the BOL platform already on sale.
