The new measures to support the economy launched by the Government are valued at more than 7,000 million euros, of which 1,160 million euros in non-refundable form, announced the Minister of Economy and Digital Transition today.
“Taken as a whole, these measures correspond to more than 7 billion euros, of which 1.160 million euros are non-repayable grants, aimed at companies”, said Pedro Siza Vieira, stressing that "This is also accompanied by important support in the sectors of sport and culture".
"We are once again strengthening the set of support we have for the economy and employment and for some very specific activities. They are now more comprehensive support, more targeted at the sectors that were most impacted by the situation throughout this year, which aim to encourage companies to recover its activity in the near future and that will continue, also for that reason, for longer than the one that was previously announced " said.
Also participating in the press conference were the Minister of Labor, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho, the Minister of Education, Tiago Brandão Rodrigues, the Minister of Culture, Graça Fonseca, and the Assistant Secretary of State for Tax Affairs, António Mendonça Mendes.
