Number of Algarve clubs certified by FPF quadruples in 2020/2021

There are 13 new clubs from the Algarve Football Association recognized in the second season of the Training Entities Certification Process, which represents an increase of 325% compared to 2018/2019.

Out of four clubs distinguished by the Portuguese Football Federation at the time of their debut, Algarve football and futsal now have 17.

In football, Portimonense Sporting Clube / Portimonense Sporting Clube – SAD, Sporting Clube Olhanense / Sporting Clube Olhanense – Futebol SAD, Sporting Clube Farense / Sporting Clube Farense – Algarve Futebol SAD, with 4 stars; Louletano Desportos Clube, Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Quarteirense, Futebol Clube de Ferreiras, Clube de Futebol Esperança de Lagos, Lusitano Ginásio Clube Moncarapachense, Clube de Futebol “Os Armacenenses”, with 3 stars; and Immortal Desportivo Clube and Associação Académica da Bela Vista, with 2 stars, obtained the certification. Quatro ao Cubo – Sports Association of Olhão was recognized as a Basic Training Center.

In futsal, Sonâmbulos Futsal Luzense Associação (3 stars) and São Pedro Futsal Clube de Faro (2 stars) are certified entities, while Albufeira Futsal Clube, Clube Desportivo “Os Olhanenses” and Associação dos Jovens do Nordeste Algarvio – Inter-Vivos are now Basic Training Centers.

Highlight for Futebol Clube de Ferreiras, the only Algarve emblem with double certification, in men's and women's football, and for São Pedro Futsal Clube de Faro, which rose from the Basic Futsal Training Center to a Certified Training Entity with 2 Stars.

The Algarve Football Association congratulated all of its affiliates involved in the process, especially the clubs already certified, praising “the effort, commitment and dedication of all its managers and sports agents who have contributed, unequivocally, to the development of communities in the region ”.
