The number of IRS declarations delivered in the first two days of the period increased 47.6% over the same period of 2018, totaling 569,026, the Finance Ministry said today.
The deadline for IRS delivery has been extended by another month, but available data indicate that more and more taxpayers are taking advantage of the first few days of delivery to submit their return, thus seeking to anticipate the repayment's arrival.
By 18:00 today, the Finance Portal has registered 569,026 IRS statements, which corresponds to 183,571 more than the number registered until the end of the second day of the IRS campaign in 2018.
According to data from the Ministry of Finance, more than half of the statements already delivered are from taxpayers covered by the IRS automatic.
In total, 291,113 of these automatic declarations were submitted, which corresponds to 63,935 more than in the first two days of delivery in 2018.
The rules of the automatic IRS allowed him to reach three million people last year, but the rate of use of this automation has fallen short of expectations.
This year, with its extension to taxpayers with Retirement Savings Plans, the potential universe has grown to 3.2 million people.
In an interview with Lusa, the Secretary of State for Tax Affairs said that the average repayment term in the IRS automatic was last year 11 days and the expectation is that this term will be maintained this year.
