Escola EB1 / JI Nº 4, in Olhão, will be the target of a deep requalification project, similar to what happened recently, with EB1 Nº 5, with a municipal investment in the order of 1.6 million euros. euros.
The intervention, which has a co-financing of 50% of community funds, starts on the ground at the beginning of the second quarter of this year, and its conclusion should take place within 18 months.
During this period, teaching activities will be transferred to EBI / JI José Carlos da Maia.
The project includes the construction of the root of a cafeteria, a kitchen, a library, toilets and two multipurpose rooms.
As for the existing buildings, they will undergo a profound requalification, which will involve the renovation of the electrical, telecommunications, water and sewage systems, as well as the windows, which will be replaced by more modern equipment, floors and false ceilings.
Once the intervention is completed, “the“ Escola do Futebol ”, as it is known among us, will have excellent conditions for students, teachers and the rest of the school community to develop their activity”, said the Mayor, António Miguel Pina,
