Online session on hotlines for tourist micro-enterprises

The Loulé City Council and the Algarve Tourism Region will promote, next Monday, May 18, at 4:30 pm, a session on Treasury Support Lines. This initiative is aimed at micro-companies (up to 9 workers) and sole proprietors linked to the Tourism sector, in areas such as accommodation, restaurants and drinks, car rental, travel agencies, tourist entertainment activities and others.

Through this initiative, it is intended to inform interested parties about this measure created by Turismo de Portugal to ensure the increased working capital needs of tourism micro-enterprises and, thus, mitigate the economic impact caused by the pandemic.

The layoff, IEFP measures, the “Clean & Safe” seal or the new scholarship for lost funds to support the reopening of establishments will be some of the themes addressed in this clarification session.

It should be noted that, in addition to other measures to support companies recently approved by the Government, this Line constitutes a new financial mechanism that aims to respond to the immediate and urgent financing needs of micro-enterprises, especially those that demonstrate a reduced capacity to react to the strong retraction of demand that has been registered, safeguarding its full activity and its human capital.

In the Algarve region, particularly in the municipality of Loulé, a territory where tourist activity has a greater weight, clarifications to businessmen about this initiative are of particular importance in order to face the economic problems caused by COVID-19.

The session, which can be followed through the digital platform ZOOM, will count on the interventions of the presidents of the Algarve Tourism Region, João Fernandes, and the Municipality of Loulé, Vítor Aleixo.

Registrations are free but have a limited number of participants and can be made through email [email protected], the participant's name, e-mail and company must be mentioned.

It will also be possible to watch the session on the Facebook page of the Municipality of Loulé
