The "Symphonies Classics", which will be played at the Igreja do Carmo in Tavira, on Saturday, November 3, from 9:30 p.m., will mark the first concert of the Classical Orchestra of the South (OCS) in November.
The show will be conducted by the associate conductor José Eduardo Gomes, in a presentation of the work of G. Holst, G. Jacob and J. Haydn.
The Cycle of Chamber Music, characterized by being presented by small groups of musicians, creating a more intimate atmosphere, will pass through the Algoz Mother Church on the 8th, at 9pm, and the Church of Santo António in Lagos, on the day 10 at 7:00 p.m. In the concerts will be presented distinct programs but both have free entry.
Teatro Lethes, in Faro, will host the last concert of the series «Lethes Clássico», with the theme «Women Composers», dedicated to the work of Vivian Fine, Amy Beach and Clara Schumann.

The month of November continues with another moment in the programming of the Classical Orchestra of the South of this year – the Cycle "Classics on the Avenue", on November 16, at Cineteatro Louletano, in Loulé.
In the presence of guest soloist Paulo Gaio Lima, renowned Portuguese cellist, the orchestra will play Bruno Soeiro, C. Saint-Saëns and Franz Schubert. Reservations can be made through the contact 289414604.
A novelty of the 2018/2019 season of the OCS is the "Amadeus" Cycle, a set of concerts dedicated to the work of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, to be presented at the Teatro das Figuras in Faro.
The first event, "Mozart and his Predecessors", takes place on November 30 at 9:30 p.m., and includes works by J. Bach, Leopold Mozart (father of W. A. Mozart), C.F. Abel and the genius of Salzburg.
The orchestral direction is in charge of Rui Pinheiro, titular conductor of the OCS, and the trompista Laurent Rossi is the invited soloist. More information by phone 289888110.
