Paraguayan midfielder Eduardo Berizzo has announced the squad for the Copa America 2019 edition on Thursday and the main highlight is the call of Óscar Cardozo, former Benfica forward.
'Tacuara', as he was known by the 'incarnated' supporters, returned to the national squad for 37 years, who has not played for his country since October 2017, when he participated in a qualifying match for the World Cup of the Year past.
Other 'Portuguese' called up by Eduardo Berizzo were Iván Piris (former Sporting), Derlis González (former Benfica) and Juan Iturbe (Ex-FC Porto).
The selection of Paraguay occupies group B of Copa America, along with Qatar, Argentina and Colombia. The debut will be on June 16, against the Asian team.
