The Assembly of the Republic today approved, in general, with the vote against the PS, a bill from the PCP to extend bank default on payments for another six months.
The bill presented by the communists received the favorable votes of PSD, BE, PCP, PAN, PEV, Chega and the non-registered deputies Joacine Katar Moreira and Cristina Rodrigues, the abstention of CDS-PP and the Liberal Initiative and the vote against the PS .
These bank default rates have been in existence for a year and were created to help families and businesses due to the crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
After being approved in generality, the bill now falls to the specialty. Only if it passes a final global vote, the law is passed in parliament and will go to the decision of the President of the Republic.
