The municipality of São Brás de Alportel has launched a new edition of the Participatory Budget, under the motto "Your ideas give the Future", allocating 70 thousand euros to accomplish one of the proposals presented by the citizens.
"The most voted project will be included in the Municipal Budget of 2019 and will become a reality", clarifies the autarchy, which intends to continue "involving the community in the life and future of the county" with this participatory public management instrument started in 2006 .
Since then, the citizens have shown their capacity to think the county, have presented many proposals and helped the executive in its decisions.
The concretion of the Roberto Nobre Park, the Carrera Viegas Garden, the Praça da República, the Amendoeiras Park, the Rehabilitation of the Nascente Entrance and even the Skate Park were born precisely from proposals presented or defended by the citizens in the Participatory Budgets that there is a dozen years have brought the process of budgeting to the streets.
The period of presentation of proposals / projects, by the citizens, will be available until the end of October, which may use own forms or fill in online.
Each proposal must be accompanied by a brief description, budget estimate and other documents that may help to understand the project in question.
Once the proposals have been analyzed and their feasibility and interest for the community verified, they will be put to the vote in the second half of November.
The winning bid will be announced in December.
