Pedro Siza Vieira becomes Deputy Minister and Economy, which makes the government shorten from 17 to 16 ministers. Deputy Minister in the XXI Constitutional Government since October 2017, Pedro Gramaxo de Carvalho Siza Vieira is graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (1987).
In his academic activity, he was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Lisbon and assistant at the Autonomous University of Lisbon and also a visiting professor at the Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
As a lawyer, he was a partner of Morais Leitão, J. Galvão Teles e Associados, Law Firm and, from 2002 to October 2017, a partner of Linklaters LLP, being Managing Partner of the Lisbon office of this company between 2006 and 2016. Among others Pedro Siza Vieira was a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Portuguese Law Firms and president of the Portuguese Arbitration Association.
At the professional level, he also excelled in the duties of the Superior Council of Administrative and Tax Courts and member of the Executive Committee of the Mission Structure for Corporate Capitalization.
Already this year, Pedro Siza Vieira was involved in controversy due to the fact that he created the real estate company "Prática Magenta" one day before joining the Government.
