People in Motion exhibition shows how migrations have changed the world - Today's page

The initiative is from Europeana, the online European library, and recalls the great migrations in Europe over many epochs.

At a time when there is so much talk about migrations by people entering Europe, Europeana has an online exhibition on how the movement of people has changed the world, and focuses especially on the stories from within the European space.

It is difficult for many to realize what causes large groups of people to leave their place of origin and move to other countries, with different cultures and languages, but these movements have been common throughout history and have given rise to great changes that will from fashion to art, but also to science and other innovations.

Many of these changes are portrayed in the exhibition People in Motion that can be seen online and that chooses some of the many stories that could be told, in an approximation to the enrichment that the effect of migrations brings to the various cultural areas,

The stories tell the travels of individuals and communities and are accompanied by photographs
