The Igreja Matriz de Portimão will host the inaugural concert on the 13th edition of the Algarve Organ Festival, scheduled for 9 pm on November 6, with the performance of organist Pedro Monteiro.
In a program that crosses several centuries, styles and musical influences, Pedro Monteiro will underline the unique characteristics of the organ of the Portimão Headquarters, interpreting works by composers from Italy (Giovanni Gabrieli), Netherlands (Jan Pieter Sweelinck), Spain (Andrés de Sola ), Germany (Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Xaver Schnizer), Austria (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) and Portugal (Carlos Seixas and João de Sousa Carvalho).
With free entry, but without the possibility of prior appointment, the assistance limitation will be 100 seats, on a first come, first served basis. Spectators must wear a mask and use the alcohol-based solution dispenser to disinfect their hands, with defined circulation circuits and different entry and exit doors.
