Portimão Museum blows 12 candles and reopens doors

On the 17th of May, the Portimão Museum will mark the best 12 years of existence, with the opening of two temporary exhibitions online, not missing the birthday cake, which symbolically honors health professionals for their dedication in combating 19.

The cake, consisting of a part with the facade of the Museum engraved and another with pieces and work instruments characteristic of health professionals, will be delivered this morning by the Mayor of the City, Isilda Gomes, to the Hospital of Portimão, as thanks to everyone, from doctors and nurses to health assistants.

With doors closed since last March, the reopening will take place on Monday, May 18, International Museum Day, with free entry and the adoption of rules and regulations that guarantee the safety of visitors.

From that date, and in addition to the permanent exhibition “Portimão -Território Identidade”, the temporary exhibitions “European City of Sport 2019” and “O Teatro da Caverna – 25 Anos” can be seen until 15 November
(1994/2019) ”.

In recent weeks, and despite the closed doors, the Portimão Museum has continued to exercise its activity in a creative and digital way, providing other forms and strategies of interaction, with the reinforcement and centralization of its online content offer, through the channel “The Museum at Home” and its facebook page.
