Portimonense suffered today the second consecutive defeat in the I football league, in the trip to Sporting de Braga (2-1) in the closing day of the first round, allowing another turnaround in the scoreboard.
It was the third time in a row that the Algarve opened the asset and let the opponent go around the marker. It was still possible to score against Moreirense (2-2), but against Boavista and Braga the outcome was the same.
Portimonense opened the game in the 23rd minute, by Aylton Boa Morte, after Beto's assistance, leaving for the break ahead in a deserved way.
In the second half, Braga came back with goals from Lucas Piazón (62) and Ricardo Horta, from a penalty (73).
With 17 games played, Portimonense occupies the 14th place, with 15 points, two above the drop zone. In the next round, Paulo Sérgio's team will travel to Paços do Ferreira, in a match scheduled for Tuesday, 9, at 15:00.
