Today Portimonense added the third game without winning, when they suffered a defeat at Estádio da Luz, against Benfica (2-1), in a game of the 11th round of the 1st soccer league.

In the first half, Paulo Sérgio's team had many difficulties in blocking the offensive strikes of the "reds", who at the interval were already winning 2-0, with goals from Darwin Nuñez, in the 13th minute, and Rafa Silva (23).

In the second half, Benfica entered management mode and only "trembled" a little in the final minutes, since Portimonense reduced in the second minute of discounts, by Beto, and forced even the coach Jorge Jesus to a double substitution to defend the advantage.
