Portimonense fell this Sunday in the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup of futsal and let the dream of reaching the final of the competition escape, being beaten by a stronger Sporting de Braga, 6-3.
The Braga team showed more competence in the moments of the game and was building a secure advantage, which at the interval was already 4-0, with goals from Bolt (5 minutes), Lachaga (7 and 20) and Allan Guilherme (10) .
In the second half, an own goal by Caio Júnior (28) and another goal by Allan Guilherme (37) increased the advantage, while Caio Ruiz (22), Divanei (39) and Nuno Miranda (39) scored for the Algarve.
Pedro Moreira, coach of Portimonense, admitted that his team had a terrible performance. “I congratulate Braga, the only team that wants to win the game. We took a step forward, went to sleep and made childish mistakes, which at this level are very expensive ”, he said.
The coach from the Algarve recalled that, “for the first time”, his team did not score in the first half, adding few opportunities in that period.
“We did a second part quite different from the first, but it was not enough. We know where we went wrong and we will resolve it internally ”, he concluded.
Nuno Miranda, player from the Algarve, also considered that the performance of the team in the first part “is not the usual image” of Portimonense,
“We went in nervous. We made many mistakes and Braga took advantage of them. It was gratifying to be in this semi-final and we will work to be here next year ”, he said.
This way, the Minho will face Sporting in the final scheduled for this Tuesday (21:15, Channel 11).
