Portimonense presented reinforcements Ewerton and Bruno Moreira

Today Portimonense presented two reinforcements for the second half of the season in the 1st football league: the Brazilian midfielder Ewerton, who is returning on loan from FC Porto, and the Portuguese striker Bruno Moreira.

Ewerton, 28, whose arrival will make up for Lucas Fernandes' long absence due to injury, said he was happy with his return to the Algarve.

“When the opportunity came, I didn't think twice. I already have a very strong connection with this club, I hope to help you achieve your goals with good games ”, said the midfielder.

Ewerton, who represented the Algarvians between 2014 and 2018, has been with the Japanese Urawa Red Diamonds for the past two seasons. "I am more prepared, I grew up as a player and as a person in a wonderful country, with different football," he said.

Bruno Moreira, 33 years old, with a total of 41 goals in 166 games in the First League, preferred a new challenge, after not having had many opportunities at Rio Ave since the start of the season.

“I wanted to have a great time at Rio Ave, but football is like that. I saw this option with good eyes. I had the confidence of people [do Portimonense], who showed that they would like to count on me and that is fundamental. I'm one more to help ”, confided the player.

Considering that Portimonense has “excellent players” and that, as a team, “works very well”, the forward praised his teammates, namely Beto, with a decisive “encore” in the triumph over Farense, and Fabrício.

“[O Beto é] a very capable kid and it is not by chance that he scored these two goals. It has quality. As for Fabrício, there is no need for presentations, he is an excellent striker, ”said Bruno Moreira, who is ready for his debut … against Rio Ave, if he is called up for Friday's game.

The president of SAD, Rodiney Sampaio, recognizes that the club will make “more adjustments, according to the indications of the‘ mister ’” Paulo Sérgio, looking for “more experienced players, with more game progress”.
