The Japanese international goalkeeper Kosuke Nakamura was presented today as a reinforcement of Portimonense, current 18th and last classified in the 1st soccer league.
The reinforcement, 25 years old, from Kashiwa Reysol (Japan), signed for two and a half seasons, already trains with the team and was presented by the president of Portimonense SAD, Rodiney Sampaio.
The player's presentation also had an unusual detail: a cardboard figure with the image of Tsukasa Shiga, responsible for a sponsoring company of the club that could not be present, according to the sports press.
“I will do my best for Portimonense. They had been interested for some time, I felt that they wanted me and as it is a famous club in Japan, I decided without thinking ”, said the Japanese player, six times international for Japan.
Nakamura added that he had received the advice of other Japanese players who have already passed through Portimão, including Koki Anzai, current player from the Algarve, and his position and selection partner Gonda, who left the Algarve in December.
“I know that Samuel and Ricardo are excellent goalkeepers, I had the opportunity to see him in training. I will try to help the club win ”, finished.
The Portimão club will host Belenenses SAD in the next matchday, in a match scheduled for Monday, 18th.
