The Portimonense returned today to the victories in the First League of football, by scoring away the Nacional by 5-1, in a game marked by the “bis” of Beto, the best scorer of the Algarve in the competition.
Paulo Sérgio's team had a clear triumph, based on an authoritarian and offensive display, adding several goal opportunities against a weak Nacional, in the game in which coach Manuel Machado was making his debut.
Beto opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, and Luquinha increased even before the break (45), a result that already confirmed the superiority of the Algarve until then.
In the second half, Beto (54), Fali Candé, from direct free kick (63), and Fabrício (90 + 2), sealed the result, with Róchez's goal for the Madeirans in the middle (68).
With this conclusive result, Portimonense provisionally rises to 10th place, with 26 points.
In the next round, the Algarves will host Vitória de Guimarães, in a game scheduled for April 9, at 8:00 pm.
