Farense and Portimonense face capital before the international window

This Monday Portimonense won the Algarve derby against Farense by 2-0, with two goals by Beto that took the places of the 18th and last place of the 1st soccer league, now occupied by the neighboring club.

In the game of the 12th round of the main echelon of national football – between two rivals who have not been in the League since 1988/1989 -, the first part was dominated by Portimonense, but quite badly played and without any goal opportunities.

The found gained more momentum in the second half, with improvements in both sets. The home team came out on top, with Beto's “bis”, at 71 and 90 + 1 minutes.

Portimonense rose to 16th place, with 11 points, two more points than the neighbor from Faro, now with the "red lantern" of the competition, adding nine points.

In the next round, Portimonense will go to Rio Ave, in a game scheduled for Friday, 8, at 7 pm, while Farense will host Gil Vicente, on Sunday, 10, at 3 pm.
