The Teatro das Figuras, in Faro, will host the "Patrícia Almeida: Portobello" photography exhibition next week, which portrays the experience of tourists in the Algarve.
"Portobello", produced by the Serralves Foundation, resulted from several trips by Patrícia Almeida (1970-2017) to the Algarve in 2006 and 2007, between May and September, in order to record the experiences of tourists who during the summer period to that region.
This will have been the project that guaranteed Patrícia Almeida greater visibility, after her presentation at the Zé dos Bois Gallery (ZDB, Lisbon) in 2008.
The following year, in the 2nd edition of "Allgarve", the photographer was nominated with this photographic series for the BESPhoto Award 2009.
Patrícia Almeida died in 2017.
The inauguration of the exhibition takes place on Monday, 13 at 7:00 p.m.
