Portuguese Bright Pixel invests two million euros in cybersecurity startup - Business

Bright Pixel, a technology investment company, participated in the two million euro funding round raised by Fyde, a North American start-up that develops software to facilitate remote and secure access to a company's servers.

Fyde's Vice-President of Engineering Department Luísa Lima said in a statement to the media that the "team is very enthusiastic about having Portuguese investors as part of the project." As explained, this investment will help the company to expand the team in Porto with more talent in engineering, product and sales, contributing to a "sustainable growth of the company".

In addition to Luísa Lima, the company founded in 2017 has another Portuguese in the "command", José Luís Pereira, who assumes the position of Chief Technology Officer.

Bright Pixel thus ends its second round of investment in a US startup, in which Portugal Ventures, Draper Nexus, Vertex Venture and Wells Fargo also participated. The Portuguese technological sector sees its cybersecurity portfolio reinforced, an area that was not yet covered by the current subsidiaries.
