Portuguese festival Iminente will arrive in Rio de Janeiro, announces Vhils - Showbiz



The first edition of the festival in Rio de Janeiro is scheduled for June 7 and 8 in the City of Arts, said the artist on the fringes of a press conference in Lisbon, where new features of the collaboration between the Imminent, the Vhils Studio, the Underdogs gallery and Solid Dogma, all projects by Alexandre Farto with the Super Bock beer brand.

Artists alignment includes the Portuguese Miguel Januário, with the project ± maismenos ±, and Diogo Machado (Add Fuel) and the Brazilian Finok, who was in Lisbon in 2015 at the invitation of Underdogs.

In the area of ​​music, will play the Portuguese-Brazilian Shaka Lion, the Portuguese Allen Halloween, Marfox and Nigga Fox and the Brazilians Hiran and Majur.

The program includes a stencil workshop by Add Fuel, the screening of a film about the Australian artist Anthony Lister and a debate on the Ninja Media with Miguel Januário on the impact of art in the city.

The imminent festival was held for the first time in Oeiras, in 2016. The following year, the Municipal Garden of that city returned to welcome the initiative. In 2018, the imminent event took place in Lisbon, in the Panoramic of Monsanto, where it will be maintained until 2020. This year's edition will take place from September 20 to 22.

In 2017 and 2018, the festival also took place in London and in March of this year, Shanghai hosted an 'showcase' of the imminent.

The first edition of the Imminent in Rio de Janeiro is integrated in Portugal 360º, an initiative of Turismo de Portugal, which will take place from June 6th to 9th.
