President of the Republic wants to put diaspora as "global priority" of the Portuguese – The Economic Journal

"There is a cultural struggle here that is a challenge for the Diaspora as well: explaining to the Portuguese that we are very good and that one of the reasons for this has to do with our presence in the world," said Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in Oporto, opening of the First World Congress of Networks of the Portuguese Diaspora.

The head of state explained that this is the challenge that "worries more" and for which he has not found a "solution", because for Portuguese residents in Portugal emigration is a "personal problem and experience, but not a global priority" .
