The mayor of Albufeira says that "this initiative aims to enhance the role of local artists, giving them the opportunity to show their talent, contributing in some way to mitigate the cancellation of several shows".

José Carlos Rolo adds that «this Program is being prepared for the months of May and June, and may be more comprehensive due to the evolution of the situation» and underlines that «this is the first of several cultural initiatives to be implemented and there are also availability to collect suggestions from the artistic community ”.

The mayor also mentions the importance of "in this period of confinement, we bring art and culture to people, using existing technological means and within what are the required safety standards".
