The Social Democratic Party (PSD) will ask Tuesday the Minister of Health, Marta Temido, to present the Annual Report on Access to Health Care. The Social Democrats stress that the document on the situation of Portuguese access to care in the National Health Service (SNS) should have been delivered by the end of May, but the deadline was not met.
"In violation of her legal duties, the Health Minister has not yet submitted, on June 4, 2019, the Annual Report on Access to Health Care to the Assembly of the Republic, an omission that impairs the exercise of Government oversight by the Assembly of the Republic "Said the PSD parliamentary group, in an application addressed to the president of the Health Commission, Social Democrat deputy José de Matos Rosa.
The Social Democrats note that, according to the law, "the member of the Government responsible for health issues submits to the Assembly of the Republic, by May 31, a report on the situation of Portuguese access to health care in NHS establishments and the health system, as well as evaluation of the application of this law, for the previous year. "
The PSD therefore calls on the Health Commission to request the Minister of Health to send urgently the Report on the situation of Portuguese access to health care in NHS establishments and Cheers.
The group headed by Fernando Negrão also asks the president of the Health Committee to request the Minister Marta Temido a document that he presented in the PSD's address to the government last Thursday on the situation of the Portuguese health system, which contained data on human resources in the NHS.
