Allegedly, the artist asked colleagues to obtain information about the girls he wanted to see again. Then he would invite them back to his concerts and give them lodging.

Fans should call him "Daddy" and stay in their rooms. They were not allowed to go out, eat or go to the toilet, according to the trial documents.

The case involves five unidentified women, three of whom were minors at the time of the alleged offenses, which include sexual coercion.

The singer is also accused of kidnapping one of the victims and exposing another to venereal disease without his knowledge.

Kelly, whose real name is Robert Kelly, also faces charges of violation of the Mann Act, the law that prohibits transporting people between states for prostitution purposes.
