Drift Show and Classic Car Parade from 10:30 pm
Organized by the Southern Automobile Club (CAS) and with the support of the Albufeira Municipal Council, the Albufeira Municipal Rally goes on the road this weekend, October 12th and 13th, which is played on an asphalt floor.
Under the auspices of the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation (FPAK), the Albufeira Municipal Rally is the sixth race of the Southern Rally Championship (CSR), which this year also includes the 2nd Kumho Tire Challenge. At the head of the championship is the Portimonense rider Márcio Marreiros with 89.25 points, in a very close fight with Carlos Martins who has 86.96 points and with Fernando Peres who has 76.03 points, the second and third in the championship.
The competition starts on Saturday, October 12th, with a Super Special Night, at 9 pm, between the Albufeira Firefighters' Crossing and the Clock Rotunda, over 2.38 kilometers, in the middle of Avenida dos Descobrimentos. New for this year is the Drift exhibit and the Classic Car Show from 10:30 pm.
On the 13th, Sunday, three more Special Classification Events (PEC) will be played between the Algoz road and the Tunes road (Guia), in Canais (Ferreiras) and Alcaria (Paderne), and will be run three times each. In Guia, the Rally will pass at 10h00, 11h40 and 13h40; in Ferreiras, at 10:15 am, 12:00 pm, 2:00 pm; and in Paderne at 10:35, 12:20 and 2:20.
The awards will take place on the podium in front of the Albufeira Town Hall, at 16h00.
