Cine-Teatro Louletano receives on October 12, at 9:30 pm, Rão Kyao, one of the most charismatic Portuguese musicians, in the context of an artistic challenge launched by Cine-Teatro Louletano to join Spanish and Moroccan musicians in an unprecedented concert within of the Iberian Biennial of Cultural Heritage that takes place in Loulé, from 11 to 13 October.
In this national premiere show, the public is invited to experience all that unites Portugal, Spain and Morocco, in a Mediterranean musical triangulation made of multiple bridges and civilizational influences. Rão Kyao's guests (bamboo flutes and voice) will be Toni Lago Pinto (classical guitar and viola braguesa) and Renato Silva Júnior (accordion and keyboards) from Portugal; Miri Abdellah (violin and rebab) and Barmaki Mohamed (traditional Arabic percussion) from Morocco; and Miguel Angel Ramos Ortiz (classical guitar) from Spain.
For the first time, Loulé hosts the Iberian Biennial of Cultural Heritage, a European-level reference event that provides a meeting point and debate forum for professionals and institutions dedicated to cultural heritage. Its exhibition area, the diversity of scientific and professional activities and its social programming result in a unique event that aims to promote, enhance and enhance the visibility of the Cultural Heritage sector through the aggregation of the various agents and stakeholders working in it.
Rão Kyao has participated in several collaborations and recordings imbued with this multicultural spirit, such as the CD “Iberian Delusions” with a group of musicians, the Ketama, linked to Flamenco, and with Moroccan musicians on the CD “Fado Virado a Nascente”. ”, Both of his own. Having recently traveled to Morocco, Rão Kyao invited two musicians from Casablanca who seem to him, because of their great quality and willingness for this kind of collaboration, to be indicative of a performance based, on the one hand, on well-structured Portuguese themes. and of songs associated with the tradition of the three countries and which at the same time appeals to the spontaneous and creative sense of all the musicians involved through various moments of individual and collective improvisation.
The concert lasts approximately 75 minutes, is for over 6 years and with a cost per ticket of 7 euros, rising to 5 euros for those over 65 and under 30 years. The Cine-Teatro Friend Card is applicable to this event.
