Regional Meeting of Social Work takes place in Loulé


The Algarve Delegation of the Association of Social Work Professionals will hold, on January 24th, at the Loulé Municipal Library, the Regional Social Work Meeting, which will discuss the Largest Accompanied Legal Regime – A New Look at the Person and the family.

The New Major Accompanied Legal Regime, approved by Law No. 49/2018 of August 14, entered into force on February 10, 2019 and replaces the previous regime of interdiction and disqualification, ending with the guardian figure, now replaced by escort In the same vein, there are no longer restricted citizens, which will give way to the Major Accompanied. The event will also include the promotion of an information session on the Order of Social Workers and the respective Code of Ethics.

Apart from the presence of the Hon. Mr. Mayor of Loulé, Director of the Faro District Social Security Center, Director of ARS Algarve and President of the Association of Social Work Professionals, the event will be enriched with the participation of experts from the Social Work, Justice and Health areas. .
